Aristotle Nicomachean Ethics
good = goal of every action
the knowledge of good is gained by ruling science = political science
honor (life of politicians), plasure (life of animals), understanding (life of students) are not complete. people seek these 3 for something else, not for their own sake. virtue depends on fortune.
HAPPINESS is the complete good = self-sufficinet = best, finest, most pleasant.
complete good is nothing to do with luck/fortune （これ、めっちゃCircular reasoningだと思うんだけど。）
HAPPINESS is an activity of the soul expressing complete virtue.
happinessとvirtueの違いがわかりにくいなぁ。同じなのかな？ でも、Virtueはself-sufficientじゃないって言ってるしなあ（運とかにdependするから。）ついでにいうとHonorもHappyでは無い、人の意見にdependするから。
good has 3 types; external, soul, body.
a human being is naturally a political animal.
soul - rational part and irrational part, (which is also devided into plant-like part and part w/ appetites. but they both obey reason)
virtue - of thought (arises from teaching) and of character (from habit)
action が大事
pleasure & pain
virtue is not feeling/ not a capacity
virtue is decision/ feelings are not decisions
intermidiate が良い、(intermidiate is a sort of extreme) 仏教のようだ balance が大事
VIRTUE = a state that decides = consists in a mean which is relative to us, which is defined by reference to reason, = a mean between two vices: excess and deficiency.
VIRTUE = activity = express the correct reason
